So, thoughts on what the Youk / Manny fight was about last night?
1) "no, manny, the moon is NOT cheese. You cannot eat it."
2) "no, manny, you cannot play all the outfield positions yourself."
3) "no manny, it's not time for a nap"
hehehe.
seriously, though, they'd better get over it!
Oh, side note, did anyone see the coverage of the Seattle coach. Geez, I thought I had a potty mouth!!!

At the Affordable Game
The lot of us went to watch the Sox in training this past Saturday. If anyone that reads this has 3.3 kids under 3, or has friends with 3.3 kids under 3, you can appreciate this. It was great. The kids were awesome. I still can't believe how well it all went. No fits during an entire baseball game. And with no afternoon naps, amazing. I thought for sure the lack of naps would mean an early night at the Nguyen household...... but no. Ty slept for about 30 minutes on the way home, and that was all he needed till 9pm. We, his parents, however could have used a nap in the afternoon.
On the baseball side of the baseball game, we had the pleasure of seeing the newest Seadog closer. His name is Bard or something like that. Fastball averaged about 97, but the mind blowing pitch was his 77 mph change up. Made batters look stupid. Oh and last pitch of the game 99. Look for him to be brought up soon.

Missed another good one...
So, yeah, I totally missed the 2-grand-slam game yesterday... working. DARN.
But, then I also missed the replay. Bedtime for the kiddo, house to clean, blah blah. But, damn, aren't we setting up for a really great off-season?! At this rate, there will be a TON of good games to replay.
Not that I'm at all sick of seeing the Mother's Day Miracle or Bucholtz's no-hitter... :)
Sea Dogs tomorrow. What were we thinking?!...

We are here for you.
Ok I will join my wife in posting today. I will be posting on the parenting side of Raising Sox Fans. I am inspired to tell everyone, especially the expecting parents of Sox fans, DO NOT BUY TOYS!!! I am watching my little guy destroy a magazine. He has been tearing the pages into tiny pieces and has been doing that for a solid five minutes. I am always amazed when he abandons the toy chest (bursting at the seams toy chest) for some everyday free item. I mean we have blinky toys, beeping blinky toys, talking, walking, rolling, singing, ride on, hard, squishy, musical, and every combination toys at his disposal. But today he has played with a frying pan (to pretend to make pancakes and scrambled eggs), the magazine, an empty juice bottle, and the empty raisin box. So I say buy a couple age appropriate toys and keep those junk mail sales fliers handy. Then you can save that money from toys to buy sand for the sand box (story for another time).
Horray!!!
Hello, world. It’s been a while. Didn’t want you all to think we forgot you. Haha
So, this was a parenting and baseball blog. Seems like the 4 of us have been spending more time parenting… which just means we have loads of stories to share.
But, let’s talk about baseball for a second!
Okay, Lester’s no hitter was awesome. I missed it. Nice. Well, I watched the first few innings at my parents’ house while they followed Tyler around their totally unbabyproofed house. I like to call it Baby Dangerland. Haha. Then, we came home and did the bath and bedtime routine. (whole nother set of stories there) THEN, by this time it’s well past 900pm. When I call Tuan and look up at the TV, holy crap, Lester’s still pitching. WAIT… this can only mean one thing. NO HITTER?! I saw the last 2 pitches. So cool! Tito was so proud!
Then, last night our boy Masterton gets his first win. Nice to have someone like Paps to make it happen for ya.
So, that’s where I’m at right now. Not sure if anyone else will be blogging soon. We’ll wait and see.
Oh, and we’re heading to the Sea Dogs on Saturday with the fams. Yes, we’re crazy. And yes, there will be pictures!!

Countdown to happiness
Over here, there is a countdown to spring training, pitchers and catchers reporting. Yippee!! Lester has already arrived and any news that deflects from my superbowl misery is a welcome relief.
Bad news- Shil may not be able to pitch this year-DOH!!- is also at boston.com. Uh-oh, bummer. Good thing we have lots of young pitchers.
We've been catching some of NESN'S Classic Red Sox games to get us in the baseball spirit, and also we are VERY excited for truck day. In the midst of the snow storm and some other sporting sorrow, truck day and pitchers and catchers reporting is a very sunny addition in our lives!

at the Westbrook Dunkin Donuts. Not sure what time, though.
Some sort of DND "tour". Maybe he will come to the Windham one after and I can skip work and stalk him?!
Ahh, Jacoby! My hero!

How much do you think he'll be charging to let his shadow pass over us?
